The UN is working to ensure the export of Russian food and fertilizers, UN Secretary-General António Guterres told reporters on Monday, Report informs via TASS.
"First, I'm concerned [about the situation with the grain deal]. We are working hard to ensure that the Black Sea Grain Initiative continues, and that we can continue to work on organizing Russian exports," the UN Secretary-General said.
The Black Sea Grain Initiative, which was signed on July 22, 2022, by representatives of Türkiye, Russia, Ukraine and the UN, envisages the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizers from three Ukrainian ports. In mid-May 2023, the deal was extended for 60 days.
