Türkiye's Ministry of Health has denied reports of an alleged sharp increase in Coxsackie virus cases among tourists at seaside resorts, particularly in Antalya, Report informs, citing the ministry's press service.
"Regular monitoring of Coxsackie virus-related illness is conducted in the region. Currently, there is no situation that would suggest an outbreak of the disease in local hotels and educational institutions," the press service noted.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) previously said that isolated cases of Coxsackie disease are being recorded in Türkiye, and their number is no greater than it was last year.
