Rubio arrives in Türkiye to attend NATO ministerial meeting

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is also US President Donald Trump's acting national security adviser, has arrived in Türkiye, Report informs.
"Arrived in Türkiye to encourage NATO Allies to increase defense spending to 5% of their GDP. It’s time to align our words with action. Thanks to POTUS, we’ve seen progress, but all Allies need to step up," he wrote on X.
An informal meeting of the foreign ministers of 32 NATO member countries is taking place in Antalya, Türkiye, on May 14-15. It is being held in preparation for the summit of the bloc's heads of state and government, which will take place in The Hague on June 24-25.
