Almost 3 million illegal migrants prevented from entering Türkiye

Thanks to effective border measures, since the beginning of 2023, 93,148 migrants have been prevented from entering Türkiye illegally, and a total of 2,836,775 migrants have been prevented from illegally crossing the border so far, the Migration Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Türkiye, Report informs via Haber Global.

According to the ministry, during the reporting period, 40,480 illegal migrants were detained, and 37,785 were deported.

The number of migrants deported from Türkiye since 2016 has reached 487,735 people.
