The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on Russia-controlled mining companies in Guatemala, Report informs..
Russian citizen Dmitry Kudryakov and Belarusian citizen Irina Litvinyuk have been blacklisted under the Magnitsky Act and accused of exploiting the mining sector in Guatemala.
In addition, sanctions were imposed on Compania Guatemalteca de Niquel, Compania Procesadora de Niquel and Mayaniquel in Guatemala.
