The Serbian parliament today adopted the Law on Mitigating the Consequences of the Energy Crisis and the Rise in the Cost of Living for Certain Categories of the Population, Report's Balkan bureau informs.
The law ensures the provision of one-time financial support to certain categories of the population, as well as a one-time cash compensation to adult citizens.
The MPs also accepted a proposal establishing special grounds for the law to take effect earlier, without waiting for the standard eighth day following its publication.
A total of 142 deputies voted in favor of this proposal.
