Pope Leo XIV will make a four-day apostolic visit to France from Sept. 25 to 28, the Vatican said on Friday.
According to the Vatican, cited by Report, the pontiff will visit Paris, Saint-Denis, Lourdes and Metz before returning to Rome. The trip will be the first official papal visit to France since Pope Benedict XVI's visit in September 2008.
The programme includes a visit to UNESCO headquarters and a private meeting with several survivors of abuse by Catholic clergy.
The Vatican has also announced that Pope Leo XIV is scheduled to make a pastoral visit to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru from Nov. 6 to 17.
