Netherlands eyes increasing defense budget in 2024 to 21.4B euros

Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren said that the UK will increase its defense budget to 21.4 billion euros in 2024, Report informs referring to TASS.
“The government will increase defense spending to 21.4 billion euros in 2024. Thanks to this, we will be able to strengthen combat readiness and combat power,” Ollongren wrote on X.
She also emphasized that thanks to this, the Netherlands can count on long-term financial security and expanded cooperation with EU and NATO partners.
After years of budget cuts, the Dutch government has decided to increase defense spending in 2022 starting this year.
