Iran's military leadership has warned of a possible escalation against the United States in the event of renewed confrontation.
Report informs via CNN that military adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Mohsen Rezaei said Tehran could target US military facilities that have not previously been struck if tensions escalate again.
He stated that any potential conflict would not be limited to the Persian Gulf region.
Rezaei warned that the scope of confrontation could extend from the Strait of Hormuz to the Indian Ocean, as well as the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean.
At the same time, the Iranian official noted that the likelihood of a renewed armed conflict remains low at present.
