The Finnish Border Guard has announced an increase in the number of Russian citizens crossing the Finnish border, Report informs citing TASS.
On the night of September 22-23, 10,700 Russians entered Suomi – 2,000 more than the day before. "From time to time there were queues at the border," said a Finnish border guard officer.
However, Hanna Smith, an expert at the European Center for Combating Hybrid Threats, told Yle channel that the influx is not expected - it has become more difficult and expensive for Russians to get a visa.
Now Russians with a valid Schengen visa can enter Finland.
