The European Union (EU) has reduced the supply of Russian gas via pipelines from 41% in 2021 to 9%, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said, Report informs.
According to her, the plan to overcome the consequences of the energy crisis, which will be presented in a few days, also includes limiting the price of gas transportation via pipelines.
The President said that they are working on immediate and long-term measures to improve the situation in the EU against the background of rising electricity prices, which mainly depend on the price of natural gas.
