Russia’s membership in the UN Security Council should be suspended due to its unjustified aggression against Ukraine, President of the European Council Charles Michel tweeted, Report informs.
“When a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council starts an unprovoked and unjustifiable war, a war condemned by the UN General Assembly, its suspension from the Security Council should be automatic,” he tweeted.
Michel added that the use of the veto should be the exception, but now it has become the rule. In his opinion, this needs to be changed.
