In total, about 17,000 Russians arrived in Finland over the weekend, most of them - more than 15,000 - arrived in the country through checkpoints in South-Eastern Finland, Report informs referring to the Finnish media.
“Traffic at the border crossing points in South-East Finland was busy over the weekend. At the multilateral road crossing points of Vaalimaa, Nuijamaa and Imatra, there were queues throughout the night, and traffic from Russia to Finland is expected in the coming days to grow even stronger,” the Border Service said.
At the same time, it was noted that a total of 9,300 Russians left for Russia over the weekend.
