Board of Peace: Hamas to have no administrative role in Gaza after agreement

Hamas will not play any administrative role in the Gaza Strip after the implementation of the agreement, according to a representative of the Board of Peace established to oversee the stabilization process in the enclave, Report informs, via Al Hadath.

The initiative to disarm Hamas also envisages the dismantling of underground tunnels and weapons stockpiles in Gaza.

Under the plan, all types of military weapons, both heavy and light, are to be eliminated without exception. The agreement also calls for the destruction of underground tunnels, weapons depots and arms production facilities.

The Board of Peace stressed that, once the process is completed, Hamas will have no administrative role in Gaza, either openly or indirectly.

Administration of the enclave will be transferred to a special committee that will be granted full authority in line with the principle of "one authority, one law and one weapon."
