Damascus and Ankara intend to increase bilateral trade turnover to $10 billion annually in the near future, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
Report quotes him as saying cooperation between the two countries is strategic in nature, as demonstrated by the 40 agreements reached recently.
"We intend to increase bilateral trade turnover to $10 billion annually in the near future," the diplomat said.
Al-Shaibani also noted that Syria and Türkiye plan to conclude a comprehensive agreement in the energy sector.
