A giant statue of the Buddha was erected at Morro da Vargem Zen Monastery in Ibiraçu Municipality, in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, Report informs, citing TASS.
Standing 35 meters tall, the statue of the seated Buddha took more than a year to complete.
It was initially scheduled to be unveiled in October 2020, but this was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The statue, made from 350 tonnes of iron, steel, and concrete, attracts 4,000 visitors each weekend.
