Ronen Krausz: Holding WUF13 in Azerbaijan indicates country's growing role on global stage

Holding WUF13 in Azerbaijan indicates the country's growing role on the global stage, Israel's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz told Report on the sidelines of WUF13 in Baku.

"We arrived this morning to visit the WUF13 exhibition, where we explored both national and commercial pavilions and were impressed by the high level of the projects presented. The very fact that such a large-scale forum is being held in Baku demonstrates Azerbaijan"s importance on the international stage," he said.

According to him, Azerbaijan's active participation in international events and the large number of foreign delegations reflect global recognition of the country.

"The fact that Azerbaijan continues to participate in and host such large-scale international events, and to attract participants from around the world, is evidence of recognition and the strengthening of its role in the international community," the diplomat said.

Speaking about cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan, Kraus emphasized that collaboration is already actively developing across various fields.

"We already have established cooperation in the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices in urban planning, city development, and working methods. Israeli companies are operating in Azerbaijan, particularly in the construction sector, bringing their experience and technologies into project implementation," he said.

The ambassador added that Israel also has significant expertise in security, including physical and cybersecurity, which is especially important in the context of smart city development and digitalization.

"In today's conditions of digital transformation of cities, it is extremely important to ensure the protection of information and data so that they do not fall into the wrong hands," he emphasized.
