Large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects carried out by Azerbaijan in its liberated territories are a model of urban development of international importance.
Report informs that Gulchohra Mammadova, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and professor, said this as part of WUF13 in Baku.
She noted that new residential areas being built based on the smart city and smart village concepts are an example of sustainable urban planning, modern infrastructure and a human-centered approach.
According to her, international platforms such as WUF13 create opportunities to expand academic and institutional cooperation between universities, research centers and government bodies.
