The World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku from May 17-22, 2026, demonstrates Azerbaijan's contribution to shaping the global urban agenda, MP and economist Vugar Bayramov told Report.
According to him, holding this event in Baku serves the more systematic and sustainable development of the urban environment in accordance with modern requirements, and also shows that Azerbaijan has become an important player at the regional level.
"This forum, which covers a wide geographical range, brings together representatives of the majority of UN member states, including government bodies, local authorities, civil society institutions, private sector representatives, and academia," he said.
