The primary focus in Baku is on transforming public spaces from car-oriented areas into people-oriented open spaces, Dunja Kovari, founding partner of SA Partners, a company specializing in urban design and planning, said during discussions at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
According to her, an example of such a transformation can be seen in 28 May Square, as well as in the development of Baku Central Park and the expansion of green spaces in the city.
She noted that this transformation requires new approaches to urban planning.
