Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, will attend the funeral of Qatar's former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, First Deputy Speaker Ali Ahmadov announced during today's extraordinary parliamentary session, Report informs.
Ahmadov noted that Gafarova is currently on a visit to Qatar for the ceremony.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who led Qatar for 18 years, passed away on July 12 at the age of 74.
