Ilham Aliyev, Mehriban Aliyeva attend opening ceremony of 6th World Nomad Games

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on August 31, Report informs.

One of the main objectives of the World Nomad Games is to promote such values as friendship, unity and mutual respect, which have brought different peoples together for centuries.

The event is regarded as an important international platform for showcasing, preserving and passing on to future generations the heritage, culture, ancient traditions and national values of nomadic civilization.

The Games, which will bring together representatives from various countries around the world, will feature competitions in traditional ancient sports historically practiced by nomadic peoples, including equestrian events, wrestling, archery and others.

The event, which will continue until September 6, will also showcase the cultural heritage and national traditions of the participating countries.

The opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games is being held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
