Ambassador: Meeting of Azerbaijan-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission is scheduled for first half of December in Kiev

Baku. 15 November. REPORT.AZ/ President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will visit Ukraine after the meeting of the intergovernmental commission in Kiev, Ambassador of Ukraine Alexander Mishchenko said, Report informs.

"The visit is relevant. Now the administration of the President of Ukraine is considering an acceptable date for the visit. The only thing that is delaying this visit is that we have not yet conducted an intergovernmental economic commission. We are agreeing on dates at the moment," Mishchenko said.

The diplomat recalled that the presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, Ilham Aliyev and Petro Poroshenko, at the opening of TANAP in Turkish Eskishehir agreed to hold an intergovernmental commission, which “opens the way for the visit”. According to him, it’s too early to talk about the date of the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Kiev before the meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

"The date of the intergovernmental commission is under consideration by the Azerbaijani side, but we are aimed at holding a meeting in the first half of December in Kiev," Mishchenko said.
