The European Union and Azerbaijan strengthen cooperation and keep working on a new agreement, the head of the EU Azerbaijan office, Ambassador Peter Michalko, told a presser.
He said the bloc notes the strengthening relations with Azerbaijan. The diplomat stressed a series of essential visits last year, including the Baku visit of the European Council President Charles Michel, EU Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's participation in the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels. Michalko said the work on a new agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan continues.
