Mikayil Jabbarov: Investments amounting to 3% of GDP being directed towards restoration of Karabakh

The Azerbaijani government is investing heavily in the restoration of liberated territories, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at a dialogue session during the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, the state's direct financial commitments related to the liberated territories amount to approximately 3% of the country's gross domestic product: "These investments are being made without negatively impacting the financing of other development programs."

Jabbarov added that Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves exceed the country's gross domestic product: "It is these reserves that have enabled the state to finance large-scale infrastructure projects and the restoration of the liberated territories."
