Depositors of Muganbank and Gunaybank received compensation totaling almost 200M manats

Depositors of Muganbank and Gunaybank, which are undergoing liquidation in Azerbaijan, have received compensation totaling approximately 200 million manats, or approximately 98% of the funds allocated for this purpose.

According to a Report correspondent in Shamakhi, Azer Amirov, Director of the Azerbaijani Deposit Insurance Fund's Legal Department, made the remark at a forum marking National Press Day.

According to him, compensation payments for insured deposits at Gunaybank are being made through one agent bank (Kapital Bank - ed.), while Muganbank is being processed through two agent banks.
