Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, Kostas Skrekas, discussed with OPEC Secretary-General Mohammad Barkindo the short- and long-term oil prices and his country's relations with oil-producing countries, the Ministry’s press service said, Report informs, citing foreign media.
“Greece is becoming one of the pillars of energy security and an energy hub in Southeast Europe. In these difficult times, we are deepening our cooperation and significantly reducing the dependence of a large region on Russian natural gas. We are strengthening our national energy security and trying to protect our country from imported energy crises,” Skrekas said.
