Rafael Hajibayli: Smart, sustainable cities being built for communities in liberated territories

Smart and sustainable cities are being built for communities in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

Report informs that Rafael Hajibayli, Chairman of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan (NAYORA), said this at an event held as part of WUF13 in Baku.

He noted that youth participation in discussions on urban planning priorities is important.

"In Azerbaijan, youth development is a national priority. The foundation of state youth policy was laid by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who attached special importance to the development of young people and their active role in society. This policy continues today, creating opportunities for young people to unlock their potential, contribute to various fields and participate in future-oriented initiatives," Hajibayli said.

Hajibayli emphasized that an environment has been created in which young people are supported, trusted to lead, unite communities and contribute to partnerships based on responsibility and cooperation.

"The main task of NAYORA, which brings together 156 youth organizations, is to ensure young people'"s connection with youth organizations, government agencies, national stakeholders and corporate partners, as well as to help them realize their potential," he said.
